New Servers for Chico State Lidar Research:
Fall 2023: The Chico State Lidar group procured this summer two new computers to replace two of our 10+ year old servers. The new machines feature dual 4th Gen Xeon
Sapphire-Rapids
12C/24T CPUs, 64 GB of
DDR5 RAM,
64 TB of hard drive storage in
RAID 6,
and one each
Nvidia A30 GPU.
We will set them up and configure them in SCI 212 initially and eventually move one into the REAL container for real-time data processing and one into the Butte Hall server room.
