NSF AGS award 1536624 enabled us to deploy the S3 LLC SAMPLE to the Eureka, California area for the
last 10 days of March, 2015. The objective of the experiment was to determine the ability
of a compact and portable eye-safe aerosol lidar and motion estimation algorithms (Gale and Typhoon)
to observe the horizontal distribution of aerosol and 2-component wind fields over the ocean, especially
during rough sea states. This webpage will provide a summary and highlights of the field experiment.
