This page serves as the log book for my Summer 2016 work with CSU Chico's Lidar Group. My name is Kyle Brownell and I'm an undergraduate at CSU Chico double-majoring in physics and computer science. This is my first year working with Dr. Shane Mayor and the Raman-shifted Eye-safe Aerosol Lidar (REAL) Research Group.

My research this summer involves applying the Typhoon motion estimation software to output from large eddy simulations produced by Dr. David Richter at the University of Notre Dame. The objective of the research is to determine how well Typhoon is likely to perform in primarily shear-driven flows over the ocean.
