I'm having a surprising amount of trouble exporting anything but animated gifs from matplotlib.
Apparently the usual library (ffmpeg) doesn't support Debian Jessie. I hesitate to paste a gif onto the
experiment page because it would be a lot for a browser to load.
Besides that, I did a little more formatting on this log.
