Today there was a chemical spill in the building before I arrived, so I started out in the library with my laptop. I examined the data and fortran program sent to me by Dr. Richter, and am thinking about using a wrapper to link it to my work in python. The "F2py" project seems ideal.
After working between python and fortran all day, I'm now thinking using both languages isn't the way to go. The debugging is slow going, mainly because it's a very specific area with little info online. So for the sake of development speed, I plan to switch gears and just re-write everything he sends me into pure python.
