Ongoing To-do List:
•
Research collaborative Latex platforms
• Create color maps of .inr files from REAL data
•
Modify optimizer to accept arguments
Today Dr. Mayor gave me a new side project so I'll have something to do while I'm running Typhoon with thousands of different parameters. I'll be generating some colormaps of the speeds inferred by Typhoon on some actual REAL data. The data has already been gathered and is sitting somewhere on the Typhon server. I should be able to use my code from the experiments with almost no modification.
On another note, I researched online Latex platforms that will allow Dr. Mayor and I to collaborate with Dr. Richter in any future papers we write. I concluded that
Overleaf.com is the best option. I had actually used it in the past under the name WriteLaTex. It has free account options, version control, an online editor, and collaboration tools. It looks like there aren't any options for
real-time collaboration, but that would probably be inherently confusing for a markup Language.
